Slit Copper Strip
Cu-ETP and Cu-DHP copper strip, slit from copper coil to the width you need. Thicknesses of 0.05–1.00 mm, in widths to suit press, winding and cladding lines. The minimum order for custom slit strip is 60 kg.

Grades and sizes
Cu-ETP
Electrolytic tough pitch copper (min. 99.90% Cu). In the soft condition its electrical conductivity is at least 58 MS/m (100% IACS) and its thermal conductivity about 390 W/mK; it is the standard material for busbars, earthing, switchgear and electrical connection parts. Because it contains up to 0.04% oxygen it can embrittle when heated in a hydrogen-bearing atmosphere, so Cu-DHP is preferred for welded and brazed work.

Cu-DHP
Phosphorus-deoxidised copper (min. 99.90% Cu, 0.015–0.040% P). Being oxygen-free, it resists hydrogen embrittlement during welding and brazing and is very well suited to gas-shielded arc welding, brazing and soldering. The residual phosphorus lowers conductivity (min. 46 MS/m, about 79% IACS, in the soft condition); it is preferred for tube, plumbing, heat exchangers and forming work.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between copper strip and copper coil?
Coil is thin copper wound at standard width. Strip is produced by slitting the coil to the width you need and is used where press, winding and cladding work requires a narrow width. The minimum order for custom slit strip is 60 kg.
How should I specify the size when ordering strip?
Sizes are stated as thickness × width, temper and total weight in kg, for example 0.30 × 40 mm, soft, 60 kg. The calculator gives the length corresponding to that weight.
What are the designations for Cu-ETP and Cu-DHP?
Cu-ETP: EN CW004A, DIN 2.0060, UNS C11000, BS C101. Cu-DHP: EN CW024A, DIN 2.0090, UNS C12200, BS C106. Any of these designations can be used in your enquiry; we will match the correct material.
Why can the invoiced weight differ from the calculated weight?
The calculator gives the theoretical weight. The actual weight varies with dimensional tolerances and cutting allowance; we invoice on the actual weight as weighed.
What information should I send for a quote?
We only need the grade, temper, size (thickness × width), total weight in kg and delivery location. If you fill in the calculator above, these details are added to the WhatsApp message automatically.
