Documents and certificates
Documents for the material you order are prepared per product and per batch. This page explains which documents can be requested and how to send your request.
Material certificate
A Point Metal material certificate showing the chemical analysis of the material ordered is available on request. The values on the certificate are based on the documents for the batch supplied. For orders that require documents, stating this at the quotation stage allows the right material and the scope of the documents to be agreed before the order is placed.
What to include in your request
- Product and grade: material name, grade designation (e.g. CW004A, CuSn12, EN AW-6082) and product form
- Size and quantity: thickness, diameter or cross-section, length, and number of pieces or total weight
- Standard and specification: the product standard and technical requirements of your project
- Document type: the certificate or report you need
Grade designations and equivalents
The EN, DIN, UNS and BS equivalents of our grades are collected in the alloy equivalents table. Any of these designations can be used in your request; we will match the correct material.
Company details
The company details needed for supplier registration are given below. Documents such as our tax registration certificate and signature circular (notarised specimen signatures of authorised signatories) can be sent by e-mail on request.
