CuAl11Ni Aluminium Bronze
CuAl11Ni aluminium bronze, supplied as solid bar, hollow bar (bushes), flat bar and plate, and as castings made to pattern. With about 11% aluminium, 5–7.5% nickel and 4–7% iron, this is the hardest and strongest cast grade among the nickel aluminium bronzes.
Grade and sizes
CuAl11Ni
With about 11% aluminium, 5–7.5% nickel and 4–7% iron, this is the hardest and strongest cast grade among the nickel aluminium bronzes. Hardness is high and ductility low; it is preferred for bushes, guides, gears and tool parts that wear under heavy load.
Casting standard: DIN 1714 (EN 1982)

Frequently asked questions
How is the right aluminium bronze grade chosen?
Where seawater, cavitation and high strength come together, the nickel grades (CuAl10Ni5Fe4, CuAl10Ni) are preferred. Where heavy load and wear dominate, the harder CuAl11Ni6Fe5 or CuAl11Ni is used, and CuAl14Fe4Mn2 for very high loads and tooling. For general wear applications that do not need nickel, CuAl10Fe and CuAl10Fe3Mn2 are economical choices. If you send us the part and its operating conditions, we will work out the right grade with you.
What is the difference between wrought (extruded) and cast aluminium bronze?
Grades produced by extrusion or forging (CW numbers) have a more uniform, porosity-free structure and are preferred for shafts and parts needing high strength. Cast grades (CC numbers or DIN 1714) are an economical choice for large-diameter bushes, rings and parts made to pattern.
Do you supply castings to pattern?
Yes. If you send a drawing or sample part together with the quantity and grade, we prepare a quotation for castings to pattern. For simple shapes such as bushes and rings, machining from hollow bar is often more economical.
What is the difference between aluminium bronze and tin bronze?
Aluminium bronzes offer higher strength, hardness and seawater resistance and suit parts working under heavy load, impact and wear. Tin bronzes stand out for lubricated bushes, bearings and gears thanks to their better sliding properties.
What are the designations for CuAl11Ni?
CuAl11Ni: G-CuAl11Ni, DIN 1714, nearest EN 1982 grade: CuAl11Fe6Ni6-C (CC334G). Any of these designations can be used in your enquiry; we will match the correct material.
Why can the invoiced weight differ from the calculated weight?
The calculator gives the theoretical weight. The actual weight varies with dimensional tolerances and cutting allowance; we invoice on the actual weight as weighed.
What information should I send for a quote?
We only need the size (diameter × length), quantity and delivery location. If you fill in the calculator above, these details are added to the WhatsApp message automatically.
