MATERIAL DEFINITION
Pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is the heart of industrial sealing with its huge working range between -200°C and +260°C. Its friction coefficient is equal to that of ice on ice (0.05), which ensures that the material never sticks.
It is completely chemical inert; that is, it does not react with almost any acid or base. This feature makes it unrivaled for laboratory equipment and chemical valve seats. Its electrical insulation capacity is also at the highest level.
'Virgin' (not containing recycled plastic) PTFE products in Point Metal stock exhibit perfect tolerance compliance in CNC machining with their homogeneous density.
