MATERIAL DEFINITION
Beryllium Copper (CuBe2) is a rare engineering metal that combines the electrical advantages of copper with steel-like mechanical strength. It can reach 40-42 HRC hardness after heat treatment, making it ideal for springs, connectors, and mold cores that require impact and wear resistance.
Its most critical feature is that it does not spark upon impact. Therefore, it is unrivaled in explosive environments and ammunition factories. Also, being non-magnetic increases its value for MRI devices and precision measuring systems.
Point Metal serves with its expert staff in the supply of certified CuBe2 compliant with defense industry norms (NATO Cage etc.).
