Point Metal CuSn5Pb9 (CC494K) is a bearing metal exhibiting "self-lubricating" properties with 9% lead. Under EN 1982, it provides "Emergency Running" capability via lead-induced slipperiness when lubrication fails, preventing system lock-up. It generates low friction heat even under light loads and high speeds. The safest solution for crankshaft bearings and machine tool bushings. Our leaded bronzes are centrifugal cast, pore-free, and offer 100% machining stability.
